Overlook window with stone seats

This window appears to have been carved out of the fortress wall at the time of the garden construction. It is a detail that evokes an interior space that gives the idea that one is sitting inside looking out. This window would have provided a spectacular view of the Val d’Orcia before the war, before the subsequent development on the outskirts of the town.
