The former gate is located diagonally opposite of the Palazzetta across the parterre garden and midway down along the eastern wall. This gate and wall were both built with the garden. Looming over the gate on the inside, one sees a lion’s head, a reference to the Leoni’s name, and one of two located at gates (the other located above the southern gate).
The plaque contains a statement that has a more aggressive tone than the others in the garden, hinting at an ongoing feud concerning the property.
