Central axial path that links entire garden

Starting at gate, a central axial path bisects the entire garden. It connects both visually and physically the lower garden and upper terrace through the wooded “bosco” via a series of steep steps. The recent pruning of the oak trees allows a direct view to the furthest point along this axis, a curious pediment protrusion set on top of the monumental wall. Another classic garden element, this was intended to provide a focal terminus to the garden.
